Brussels, 25 April 2014. The Board of Directors of SNCB Logistics has approved the consolidated annual accounts for the financial year 2013. For the first time, the group booked a positive EBITDA in 2013, although the net result is still negative. The company will therefore continue to restructure in 2014. The group also aspires to increased volumes of rail transport, through significantly improving reliability of its service, amongst other things.
In 2008 all companies that are active in the freight division of SNCB were combined in one integrated group, the SNCB freight group. The purpose was to join the strengths and complementary activities of the member-companies under one strong structure. In 2009 the SNCB freight group was finalised and was called SNCB Logistics . In 2011 SNCB Logistics sa/nv became an independent company and freight operator.
In this structure every single person works with the same clear mission of offering more client-oriented services and a complete logistics solution to customers, with improved quality, productivity and cost-efficiency .
